Due to recent updates with the Osceola Water Works online bill payment and processing system, there have been some changes to where online payments are received. Those changes have been made on the Osceola Water Works web site, but it has been brought to the attention of Water Works staff and board members that some customers may still be trying to pay their bills through the old online link.
“We have seen some notifications through the new payment system that customers are not accessing the bill payment site through our Web site” said Brandon Patterson, Osceola Water Works Superintendent.
Patterson went on to emphasize that all customers wanting to use the online payment service need to use the link that is located within osceolawaterworks.com and not through other links used in the past, or links that are not associated with Osceola Water Works.
Some customers may have bookmarked the old link on their browsers or phones for easy 1-touch access, but that link – containing “billpayit” – is no longer associated with the Osceola Water Works accounting system and should be updated to the osceolawaterworks.com link immediately. Other links found through online searches also erroneously take users to online bill payment portals that are not associated with Osceola Iowa’s Water Works. If customers chose to use the “DOXO link,” (as example) they are using at their own risk and it may result in additional fees and penalties if their payment is not received by Osceola Water Works on time.
Through osceolawaterworks.com, either on your mobile device or on a desktop browser, the link “Pay Bill Online” is available in the navigation menu (see images referenced in this article). When the customer clicks on that link, you will be taken to the page to start the online payment process. By clicking the “Pay Online” link toward the bottom of that page you will be taken to the proper payment processing site for Osceola Water Works.
