Local nonprofits invited to share accomplishments, goals and community impact
Each fall, the Clarke County Development Corporation (CCDC) brings local nonprofit organizations and community groups together for the Community Non-Profit Forum, an opportunity to connect with fellow organizations, highlight accomplishments and share plans for the year ahead.
This year’s forum will be held Tuesday, October 27, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Osceola’s Lyric Theater, 118 S. Fillmore St. in Osceola.
Participating organizations will have three minutes to highlight their most significant accomplishments from 2026 and share their primary goals for 2027. The format provides organizations with a simple, informal way to tell their story and help the broader community understand the programs, services and volunteer efforts taking place throughout Clarke County.
The forum also provides an opportunity for nonprofit directors, volunteers and community organizers to meet one another, exchange ideas and build relationships that can strengthen their organizations and their collective impact.
Every year, we’re reminded of just how much is being accomplished by volunteers and nonprofit organizations throughout Clarke County,” said Andrew B. Clark, CCDC Executive Director. “The forum gives these organizations an opportunity to tell their story, connect with others doing similar work and help the community understand the many ways they contribute to Clarke County.
As an added benefit, organizations participating in the forum will be entered into a drawing for $5,000.
This is the fifth year CCDC has held the $5,000 drawing,” Clark said. “It’s an outstanding way to help seed programming and initiatives for the upcoming year.
Started in 2014, the Community Non-Profit Forum has become an annual tradition designed to promote awareness of the organizations and programs serving Clarke County. Nonprofit leaders, organizers and volunteers are encouraged to participate and ensure their organization’s work is represented.
In addition to participating in the forum, organizations will have the opportunity to be included in the Community Development Handbook, a community resource featuring contact information and mission details for local nonprofit and community organizations.
CCDC is reaching out to organizations that have participated in previous forums, but all eligible nonprofit and community organizations are encouraged to participate. Organizations should provide updated contact information and other details to ensure their information is current for the upcoming handbook.
RSVPs must be received by Tuesday, October 20, 2026, to participate in this year’s forum and be included in the handbook.
