Southwestern Community College (SWCC) continuing education department will be offering a SolidWorks Training in July at the SWCC Osceola Center. This 32-hour hands-on training will meet from 8 am – noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting July 12 through July 28.
This training will be good for anyone needing to learn SolidWorks from creating new parts, drawings and assemblies to those who may need to modify and edit existing files. This will also benefit employees who may work for a company that the initial drawings are done at parent company but locally they still need to be able to modify or collect measurements for in-plant work.
Those interested can click on the PDF flyer link to the left for details on the class. Registration deadline for the class is July 2, 2021.
Please feel free to forward this to anyone you know who might be interested in attending this training. A SWCC Industrial Training Certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
If a company would like to send several employees, there may be funding opportunities through the 260F program through SWCC’s economic development program. Contact Tom Lesan at [email protected] or Ashley Downing at [email protected] (or phone: 641-782-1441,) for assistance or additional details on how to apply.
“This training was developed as a result of a meeting with Clarke County Development Corporation, local industry personnel, and Southwestern Community College,” said SWCC’s Kim Oaks. “SWCC’s continuing education and economic development departments work closely with industrial technology, electrical, and welding CTE programs to train potential new employees as well as current employees for area industry employers.”
