(OSCEOLA, IA – MAY 26, 2021) After more than 17 years (3 with MacLander Trailers), Mike Wuthrich is hanging up his manufacturing hat at Salford and preparing to spend time relaxing in retirement.
Having started his tenure with MacLander in 2004, Mike worked tirelessly through company growth and ownership changes and became a staple to the Salford team. Known for his dedication to detail and work ethic, his years with Salford helped maintain a smooth and consistent production department.
“He’s always the first in and hard at work before most of us,” said Tom Kober, Operations Manager at Salford.
In a late afternoon celebration, the team at Salford surprised Mike with a retirement party full of gifts, snacks, and special guests from his time at the company. His daughters also attended and were a touching part of the day’s celebration.
In a brief introduction, Kober went on to tout Wuthrich’s commitment to detail, making the team he worked with more productive day-in and day-out. With a strong camaraderie with his co-workers as well as his undeniable skill at crossword puzzles, Mike’s presence was always a joy and often playful.

As a highlight to the day, the Salford team presented Mike with a custom fabricated birdbath, emblazoned with the Salford logo as well as a detailed miniature tractor-tiller, representative of the machinery Mike had a hand in constructing while at the company.
“We really value Mike’s dedication and commitment to the Salford team,” said Kober. “He’s a great role model and even better friend.”
