In a campaign collaboration between the city of Osceola and Clarke County Hospital, “Halloween like We’ve Never Seen” offers some guidelines and updates on trick-or-treating for the community and tips centered around keeping children and families safe during the festivities.

Trick Or Treat – Away 6 Feet / Keep It Safe & Fun
*If you have COVID-19 or may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should not participate in in-person Halloween festivities and SHOULD NOT give out candy to trick-or-treaters.
- All persons trick-or-treating or treat giving should wear a mask that covers the mouth and nose when participating in Halloween activities.
- Ask your children to maintain at least six feet distance from non-family member trick-or-treaters or treat-givers.
- Only accept factory wrapped treats. Avoid homemade treats made by strangers.
- wash your hands / use hand sanitizer before, during, and after trick-or-treating.
- Wipe off candy wrappers with sanitizing wraps when you arrive home.
- If your child is at greater risk of complications from COVID-19, contact your healthcare provider before allowing participation in Halloween activities.
- Treat-givers: Refrain from having children select their own treats from a common container. :eave individual grab bags or paper cups filled with goodies outside your door for children to take, or drop candy in bags for children (whil wearing a mask).
- Get vaccinated for influenza!
The city of Osceola has declared Saturday, October 31st, 5:30pm to 8:00pm for trick-or-treating!
We do ask for our residents to be considerate and turn on their outdoor lights if they wish to have visitors for the evening.
We also ask all of out young residents when out for the evening to be respectful of our community and follow all pedestrian traffic laws.
The City of Osceola wants to make sure the Halloween trick-or-treat festivities are as safe and fun as possible for everyone involved.
