With hopes set high, there’s still more you can do to help.
Thank you, City of Osceola!
At the City Council meeting on June 21, the council officially awarded the $10,000 matching fund contribution for our 4th of July Celebration! Our generous business donors and all of the individual contributions from the community have made this possible. Mickey Thomas and the Lions Club Members also deserve a huge pat on the back for their hard work on donation follow-ups.
Events for the 4th of July include:
- 11 musical acts
- Old Iron tractor games
- Pancake breakfast at the Senior Center (Free-will donations accepted)
- Kids’ Pedal-Pull
- Free mechanical bull rides
- Special kids’ opportunity on Sunday (To be announced)
- Parade
- Fireworks
- and MUCH MORE!
Visit the Osceola 4th of July Facebook Page for a list of all of the events!
Here’s what YOU can do to help!
Believe it or not, even with all the local support and the successful fundraising efforts, we are not quite there yet. Your donations not only ensure a successful celebration this year, they also help kick off fundraising for the next year. Planning for 2017 has already begun and we need YOUR help to continue the tradition of the best 4th of July celebration in Southern Iowa!
If you are interested in contributing to the fun, please send your donations to the 4th of July Committee’s address at:
