Each fall the Clarke County Development Corporation puts together and hosts a Nonprofit Community Forum for local groups to network, share their successes and put forth their plans for the upcoming year. At the event, local nonprofits and community organizations are invited to present their greatest success from 2018 and share their top priorities for 2019.
It’s a great event that gives beneficial exposure to local, nonprofit organizations and the valuable work they do. It also provides directors and organizers opportunity to network with one another and build important relationships.
Clarke County is full of amazing people doing amazing things and this is a chance to make sure their story is told. The CCDC provides this forum so others in the community can hear and potentially benefit from the hard work of these volunteers.
Being the 4th year of the Community Forum, participating organizations, as well as those they serve have seen this as an opportunity to build awareness for their programs. Those that volunteer or organize programs like these should take action to make sure they are included.
As an added value, annual forum participants will also get a listing in the Community Development Handbook where each nonprofits’ contact information and mission details are listed and provided free to the community.
