As part of a commitment to our community, Clarke County Hospital, along with Clarke County Public Health and the Clarke County Development Corporation are launching a yearlong community health and wellness challenge beginning this summer! The overall goal of this challenge is to encourage a healthier lifestyle and raise the health ranking of Clarke County residents. According to the 2017 County Health Rankings provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Clarke County ranks as the 92nd county for health outcomes in the state.
The Healthy Clarke County Challenge (HC3) will feature health education and fitness events that are open to the public to attend and participate in. Also featured through this challenge are events that have been organized by Parks and Recreation, Clarke County Conservation, and Osceola Chamber Main Street.
HC3 has already been involved with local events such as Thursday Night in the Park’s Summer Fun & Safety Fair, South Central Iowa’s Relay for Life events, Fern Underwood’s Free Swim Night, and recently, Chamber Main Street’s 4th of July Firecracker Fun Run.
