During the Clarke County Development Corporation (CCDC) January board meeting, Brian Evens, CEO of Clarke County Hospital, as representation of the Clarke County Hospital Foundation, presented the CCDC board a plaque recognizing CCDC’s support of the hospital. This honor not only provided recognition of the CCDC’s matching grant for the hospital’s expansion fundraising plans, but their ongoing efforts in rallying community support and awareness for the hospital.
“The matching grant has allowed the hospital to continue its expansion and renovation program,” Evans explained, “As well as facilitate the use of additional space and added services needed by our community.”
The funds provided by the CCDC were in the form of a matching grant of up to $500,000 over a 5-year period (2015 – 2020). This will be given to the Clarke County Hospital Foundation for fundraising efforts to help reach their expansion goals. Improvements seen through this funding have not only been in the form of more space and updated equipment, but also in the ability to expand services to the community through specialty practice representation and expanded hours and availability of the physicians and staff.
Bill Trickey, CCDC Executive Director went on to comment,
“The CCDC truly takes pride in the ongoing growth and expansion of our local hospital. Their physicians and staff provide an invaluable service to our community and we’re excited to see it evolve.”
