It’s well known that Osceola has one of the Iowa’s best Independence Day celebrations — FOR GOOD REASON!
With a huge parade, family activities on the square, Fun Runs, live music, and more, it’s the community activities that take place around the 4th of July that really define the spirit of the city and the surrounding areas.
For your convenience, we’ve taken the information provided by the Osceola 4th of July Committee and put together an easy-to-share schedule for upcoming 4th of July activities. Below is the information surrounding their coordinated efforts with times and dates.
4th of July activities in Osceola start in earnest FRIDAY, June 30th and go through the 4th of July, ending with a HUGE Fireworks Display. Check out the schedule below. (Unless otherwise noted, these activities take place on the square)
FRIDAY JUNE 30TH:
6:15pm – Opening Ceremonies
6:30pm – Little Miss Osceola
Followed by – Little Mister Osceola

TUESDAY JULY 4TH:
7:00am to 10:00am – GIRL SCOUT Pancake Breakfast (at Senior Center)
11:00am – Parade begins (Floats wanting to be judged must be in place by 10:15am in Fareway parking lot)
12:30pm – Car Show / Tractor Show (Fareway parking lot after parade finishes)
12:45pm – Pie Contest Winners Announced & Pies Auctioned off
2:30pm – Osceola’s Talent Showcase (This is NOT a competition. No Entry Fee. No Prizes Awarded. Performances Limited to 5 minutes – To sign up, please call or text Luci Sullivan at 641-414-7521. Please bring your own music)
6:00pm to 9:30pm – Bob Dorr & The Blue Band
