Fall offers seasonal changes and the beautiful color of a variety of trees across our community. Caring and maintaining the local tree canopy and ensuring lasting health, enjoyment, and sustainability takes a true commitment from the entire community. That’s why the team from Osceola Master Gardeners recently reached out to Trees Forever to coordinate a special event/workshop to discuss exactly that.
On Wednesday October 16th, representatives from Trees Forever will hold a special community event to discuss Osceola’s tree canopy as well as facilitate a conversation about how the community can help replenish and regrow a healthier, more diversified landscape.
Some of the topics Trees Forever will be presenting on will help residents answer questions like – “What trees can be planted to help with the community’s canopy?” as well as provide best practices for planting and care of your existing trees.
“Residential canopies are just as important as our parks and public areas,” said Trees Forever, representative Brad Riphagen. “With a diversified tree selection and attention to species that could be at risk, the health of your community canopy can improve year after year.”

The workshop will be held at the Clarke County Conservation Education Building at East Lake Park and is open to the public.
