The Agency requested this equipment as we are a very rural community and a popular destination for hunting and fishing. May individuals engage in activities far from a road surface an may become a victim. The rescue skid allows emergency responders to safely secure and transport a patient to an ambulance.

With Emergency Management being a support function to all Public Departments in the County the Ranger can be utilized by all partners. Our various community events and ever-expanding trail system allows all public safety departments the use and flexibility to deliver services. Interchangeable placards will allow whatever Agency is utilizing the equipment to be identified.

The Agency will be submitting funding request to the Clarke County Development Corporation to round out this project with a trailer, graphics, and equipment upfitting. The Agency is proud to partner with the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation as they continue to support Public Safety all over the Country.

In 2005, the Firehouse Subs founders established the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation with the mission of providing funding, lifesaving equipment, and educational opportunities to first responders and public safety organizations. Through the non-profit 501(c)(3), Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has granted more than $40 million to hometown heroes in 48 states, Puerto Rico and Canada, including more than $857,000 in Pennsylvania.
