OSCEOLA, Iowa – Clarke County Hospital now offers total knee and hip replacements within the South Central Iowa community. The new service is offered by Kirk Green, D.O., orthopedic surgeon at Clarke County Hospital.
“Dr. Green is a highly qualified and experienced orthopedic surgeon, who provides quality services comparable to larger health facilities.” said Brian Evans, Chief Executive Officer at Clarke County Hospital. “Having a total joint replacement close to home is more convenient and means less travel for you and your family.”
A total knee or hip replacement is a surgical procedure that replaces the diseased or damaged joint with artificial material in order to increase mobility and daily function. Osteoarthritis is a main cause for a total joint replacement.
On Wednesday, November 19, Clarke County Hospital is inviting the community to attend a presentation by Dr. Green and learn more about total knee and hip replacements. For those who attend the presentation, a complimentary lunch will be served at 12 p.m. in the hospital’s Administration Building located at 805 S. Fillmore Street.
