Why FREE Books?

The Molina Foundation and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach was able to acquire and distribute over 30,000 free books to help mitigate the “Summer slide” we often experience after break.

Books are available to County Extension Programs, Schools, Nonprofits and Government Programs serving low-income, minority and limited English speaking youth in Iowa.  In order to qualify an organization must be willing to serve youth who are low-income, minority and limited English speaking. Clarke County Extension applied for this opportunity and was able to secure 1,000 books for Clarke and Murray students, including the Middle School.
