If there’s one thing we love about summer, it’s that summer means CLARKE COUNTY FAIR TIME!

clarke county fair times and datesThe Clarke County Fair begins Monday, the 13th of July, and we can barely contain our excitement.  This year’s fair has so many activities, from animal and livestock exhibits to food and music, we wanted to put it all in one location for our readers to share.

The information below has been gathered from multiple resources throughout the web and throughout Clarke County.  Of course, if we’ve forgotten ANYTHING, we want to add it to the list. Clarke County Fair Events Schedule 2015

Monday, July 13

9 AM – 6 PM: 4-H Exhibit Building Judging

9 AM – 11 AM: Check in Open Class in Exhibit Building

12 PM: Open Class Judging


Tuesday, July 14 Hy-Vee Day

9 AM – 8 PM: 4-H Exhibit Building Open

8 AM: Rabbit Show in the Show Barn

Following Rabbit Show:

– Clover Kids Pet Show

– Pet Show

6:30 PM: Clarke County Opening Ceremonies

–  Opening ceremonies will begin with flag raising followed by introduction and the crowning of Jr. Prince and Princess, and 2015 Fair Queen.


Wednesday, July 15 Clarke County State Bank Day

9 AM – 8 AM: Exhibit Building Open

8 AM : Dog Show in the Show Barn

8 PM: Movie Night


Thursday, July 16 American State Bank Day

9 AM – 8 PM: Exhibit Building Open

8 AM : Goat Show in the Show Barn, Sheep Show to follow

10 AM: Make and Take in the Gazebo

3 PM: Livestock Judging Contest

2-8 PM: Chloe the Clown Face Painting in the Events Center

4-8 PM: Greenie the Clown Balloon Art in the Events Center

4-8 PM: Kira Kiracatures in the Events Center

5-7 PM: Hippology Contest

6-8 PM: Stem Festival

6:15 PM: Hawkeye Pedal Tractor Pull in the Show Barn

7 PM: Tractor Pull in the West Arena

Admission: $10/person adult, $5 children 12 & under

Classes Offered: 8500 Pro Farm, 8500 Pro Field A, Pump, 8500 Limited Pro Stock, 9000 Pro Field P Pump, 6200P Pro-Stock, 4×4 Pickup, Unlimited Open, Farm Tractor Class & Diesel Pick Up

Friday, July 17 Osceola Farm and Home Day

9 AM – 8 PM: Exhibit Building Open

8 AM: Horse Show in the Arena

10 AM: Make and Take in the Gazebo

5 PM: 4-H Trivia Bowl

6 PM: Horse Drill Team in the Arena

7 PM: Cutest Baby Contest in the Events Center

Classes range from 0 months to 5 years with different categories in each age division. A diaper decorating contest will also take place for the most creative, best decorated, and County Fair Themed diaper. Twins and triplets will also have a chance to prove their similarities in the most alike and least alike categories. Following, there will be an overall Clarke County cutest boy and girl named for 2015. Those out of county will also have a chance to enter the contest in two age divisions.

7 PM: Outlaw Road Band in the West Arena


Saturday, July 18 Farmers Coop Day

8 AM: Swine Show in the Show Barn

10 AM: Make and Take in the Gazebo

1 PM: Annual Farm Bureau Cookout and Youth, Cookout Contest to follow

3-7 PM: Conservation Station

5:30 PM: Annual Farm Bureau Cookout Contest Judging

5:30-6:30 PM: Working Exhibit Demonstration

7 PM: Draft Horse Pull in the West Arena

Admission $5, children 5 & under free

Concessions available, alcohol prohibited.


Sunday, July 19 Bud Jones Construction and Stoney Oak Properties Day

10 AM – 8 PM: Exhibit Building Open in the Events Center

10 AM: Beef Heifer Show in the Show Barn

– Followed by the Beef Heifer Show

– Bucket and Feeder Calf Show

– Market Beef Show

4 PM: Parade of Champions in the Show Barn

7 PM: Chuck Wagon Races

9-11 PM: Exhibitor Dance in the Show Barn


Monday, July 20 Rueters Day

4:30 – 6:30 PM: Exhibitor and Buyer Barbecue in the Events Center

6 PM: Livestock Sale and Pie Auction in the Show Barn

Based out of Omaha, Nebraska, Outlaw Road Band plays everything from traditional country music to current hits played on country radio stations along with classic favorites for any age to sing along. Outlaw Road Band keeps the crowd entertained by keeping everyone engaged with sing-alongs, participation, and dance floor music.
